Another IAA Transportation has come to an end – and we leave Hannover with new insights, valuable feedback and, above all, many interesting conversations to continue.
For Ringfeder, IAA is an important opportunity to meet customers, partners, vehicle manufacturers and other industry experts face to face. This year was no exception. Throughout the week, our stand became a meeting point for discussions about current applications, technical challenges and the developments that will shape the future of commercial transport.
And while there was plenty to see across the exhibition halls, for me, the conversations were once again the most valuable part of the week.
High Capacity Transport – a topic gaining attention
One topic that featured prominently in our discussions was High Capacity Transport (HCT).
The transport industry continues to look for ways to move more goods efficiently while making better use of vehicles and available resources. Longer and heavier vehicle combinations are an important part of that development and are creating new opportunities – but also new demands on vehicle systems and components.
For us at Ringfeder, this makes HCT a particularly interesting area.
Higher combination weights and different vehicle configurations mean that coupling equipment must be selected with the complete application in mind. Loads, operating conditions, vehicle configuration and the intended use all play a role in determining the right solution.
This is also why meeting customers at IAA is so valuable. Rather than discussing HCT only in theory, we can talk about real applications, real operating conditions and the challenges customers are encountering in different markets.
Those conversations help us understand not only what is needed today, but what may be required from our solutions tomorrow.
Finding the right solution for the application
Another clear takeaway from IAA is that there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer.
Throughout the week, our team met visitors with a wide range of questions and applications. Some were looking for support in selecting the right coupling solution. Others wanted to discuss specific technical requirements, new vehicle combinations or challenges within their existing operations.
These discussions are an important part of how we work at Ringfeder.
Our products are at the heart of what we do, but the knowledge behind them is equally important. By combining our experience in coupling systems with an understanding of the customer's application, we can help identify a solution that works not only on paper, but in everyday operation.
Sometimes that means an established Ringfeder product. Sometimes it requires looking at the wider system or exploring a more application-specific solution.
Having our sales and technical expertise together at IAA gave us a great opportunity to have those discussions directly with the people using, specifying and developing commercial vehicles.
Turning conversations into development
One of the messages I take with me from Hannover is how important direct dialogue remains in our industry.
A trade fair gives us the opportunity to present what we are working on, but it also allows us to listen, ask questions and receive immediate feedback.
That exchange is valuable.
Customer feedback and discussions about future requirements give our sales, product and engineering teams important input for continued development. They help us understand where requirements are changing, where new challenges are emerging and where our knowledge and solutions can make a difference.
In that sense, the work does not end when the exhibition closes its doors. Many of the most interesting conversations from IAA are only the beginning.
At Ringfeder, we look forward to continuing that journey together with our customers and partners.
Thank you for an inspiring week in Hannover
I would like to thank everyone who visited the Ringfeder stand during IAA Transportation 2026.
Thank you for bringing us your questions, applications and challenges – and for sharing your experiences and perspectives with our team. These conversations are what make IAA such an important event for us.
I would also like to thank the entire Ringfeder team for the commitment and energy throughout the week.
We return from Hannover with plenty of ideas, valuable feedback and many conversations to follow up on.
The commercial vehicle industry continues to evolve, and topics such as High Capacity Transport show just how important it is to look at the complete vehicle combination when developing the transport solutions of tomorrow.
At Ringfeder, we look forward to continuing that journey together with our customers and partners.
